Welcome to a tour and accommodation
guide of
Victoria, Australia.
Explore Victoria's coastline, some of it rugged and windswept, such as
near The Twelve Apostles at Port Campbell along the Great Ocean Road,
one of the world’s most scenic coastal drives.
Other parts
form quiet, secluded coves and are ideal family swimming beaches. You can
experience living history in many forms. Take the opportunity to visit towns
as they were in our pioneering days. Places like Sovereign Hill in Ballarat,
historically linked with the richest alluvial gold rush in the world, and
the Pioneer Settlement at Swan HiII.
You
can also see memorabilia associated with history at Warrnambool and Echuca.
Fed by mountain water the mighty Murray River forms part of Victoria’s
northern border Vine and citrus fruits appear in abundance almost side by
side. A mecca for fishing, swimming and boating, The Murray also supports a
thriving industry in the form of paddle steamers which operate sightseeing
and dining cruises.
Almost all of Victoria’s national parks are accessible to motorists. There
are beautiful botanical gardens all over the State, as well as hundreds of
wineries. In fact the Yarra Valley is fast becoming recognised as one of the
best wine making regions in the world. Victoria even has its own natural
springs at Hepburn Springs. Trek through the Australian bush, or climb rocky
mountain paths.
Picnic among
ferns and waterfalls while you listen to the calls of a thousand birds. Find
Australia’s history. Pan for gold in the towns that were built on gold.
Explore museums and take home local art and craft. Go swimming in a lake, a
rock pool or a river Or find a white sandy beach along Victorias magnificent
coastline.
Victoria is a
playground of changing landscape and natural wonders, and it is all there
waiting for you.
